In A Dry Place

In A Dry Place

Prayer: Oh Lord God of Host, let the Logos words that I read and the Rhema Word that you have spoken be received in the heart of those gathered in your presence this day, in Jesus’ Name. amen

One Tuesday morning I woke up from a dream. I was in a house with family and strangers. There were two men whom I didn’t know who appeared to be men of God. They were talking about the condition of the world we are living in. As I listen, I begin to preach to those present. I woke up and immediately I was led by the Spirit of God to write down what was given to me in the dream. Like Moses, Paul, John, and many others before me, I was obedient to the Spirit. So I share this message with you.

We as Believers and unbelievers are in a “Dry Place”. This world is the Dry Place of which I speak. The Dry Place refers not to the climate, ie weather, soil, or atmosphere. The Dry Place refers to our Spirituality.

The Scripture In Isaiah 43:19 says, Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. In verse 20 of that same chapter, God says, I will give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert to give drink to my people. I speak of spirituality. Jesus tells the woman at the well, “If she drinks of the water he offers, she shall never thirst.” He speaks of eternal life.

Let me get back to Dry Places, we had had over a week of rain and the ground is still wet and you may think, “what dry place?” Many are spiritually dry. We don’t have Jesus as our savior and if we do, we don’t trust him and try to do things on our own. Morality and values are low, folks are doing any and everything that comes to their imagination. Children are disobedient; parents neglecting their children; preachers, pastors, and ministers withholding truth and sound doctrine from the people to advance their own self-interest. Yes, we are in a dry place. Politicians lying to the citizens, municipals holding the people down, and citizens doing nothing to make a change in their communities, we are in a dry place. You gather in your meeting place, on the telephone complaining about what the folks uptown are doing to you but you don’t represent your community at the city council meeting, at the voting booth to vote these folks out, you settle and complain, we are in a dry place. The races won’t come together, nor will people in their own community, afraid that someone else will prosper. A tide will lift all boats, in other words, when we come together as one, everyone is lifted.

Let me get back to the believers, we get caught up by performances in the pulpit, the deacon and deaconess section, and in the choir section, and we vainly take whatever is told or sung to us as truth. The Scripture tells us in 2 Timothy 15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Bring your bible, study your bible, if you don’t have one, get one. You get a new necktie or a new handbag if you wanted one. That Bible will be with you always and you don’t have to change it but you will change that tie, or handbag every Sunday.

Most of us come in to the House of Worship, spiritually drain and it doesn’t get any better when we come in singing song of bondage and oppression as if God has not delivered us or brought us through. We should come in making a joyful noise unto the Lord. We should have a sincere heart when we say, “I was glad when they said, Let us go into the House of the Lord!”

You may have been delivered, healed, received salvation, and somehow slipped back to your old ways, the Scripture states in Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

Yes the Lord truly Loved Solomon. David could not build the Lord a temple because he had blood on his hand, so the seed of David which was Solomon build the Lord the temple, for it had to be Holy for God is Holy. It is all about the heart; put others in your heart before your own, think on these things. We all pray prayers of supplication but if we spend more time praying prayers of intercession for others we can be blessed as Solomon.

I’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! Stiff-necked ChristiansI’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! Hardhearted Sinner, I’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! Lying PoliticiansI’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! Disobedient Child, I’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain!HomosexualsI’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! Whoremongers, I’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! Oh, ye of little faithI’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! False teachers, I’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain! Prideful soul, I’m calling you out of your Dry Place, Let it Rain!

In 2 Kings 20thChapter, The Lord had sent the Prophet Isaiah to tell Hezekiah to get his house in order for he was to die. And when Hezekiah received the news, he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. Perhaps Hezekiah wanted more time to do some things. He wasn’t quite ready to go. Yes, he was very sick to the point of death. So he prayed earnestly and wept sorely that the Lord God would give him more time. Not only did the Lord God lengthen his life but he healed him of his sickness, for the Word said.

Ezekiel 37:1-14 King James Version (KJV)37 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:6 And I will lay sinews upon you and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

· Don’t be dry in your worship

· Don’t be dry in your praise

· Don’t be dry in your belief

· · Don’t be dry in your seeking of the Lord

· Don’t be dry in your faith

· Don’t be dry in your prayer

Jesus is calling, “Come to me all that is burden and heavy laden and I will give you rest” You don’t have to thirst for righteousness, Jesus will give you to drink and when you drink, you will thirst no more.

He is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The Lord knows the prayers you pray, the tears you cry.

He will supply your every need. Come out of your dry place.Drink of him. Give your dry bones new life, If any man come unto Christ, he is a new Creation.

Even a cactus needs water eventually. No matter what your current situation may be, no matter how prickly the situation may seem, Jesus is the water for your thirst for your life. No fruit prospers without the presence of water.

Psalm 1:3-6 King James Version (KJV)

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Jeremiah 17:8 King James Version (KJV)

8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Jesus is your water He is your river. Drink of Him and you shall never thirst again.

This is the time to come in fellowship with Jesus Christ. This is the opportunity to come back in fellowship with Christ. Open up your heart and let him come in. Ask for forgiveness and invite Him into your life. A simple prayer, “Father forgive me of my sins, forgive me for not being the person you want me to be. I believe you are the Son of God and you died on the cross that I maybe redeemed from eternal death to eternal life. Because of my new found belief, let the Holy Spirit you asked Father God to send to comfort, lead, and guide me in my Christian walk. In Jesus Name, Amen”

Father God thank you for the insight you have placed in our spirit. Let us glorify you and not let the enemy rob us of what you have given us. We are your sheep and you are our Shepherd and no one or nothing can take us or anything that you have created out of your hand. Father God I pray that let nothing separate me from your love and presence. If there be anything that is not of you in my life or anyone who being a believer in you, we command it to be moved in the Precious name of Jesus and it is so. We believe by faith that whatsoever a thing that we shall ask, then that which we ask will be done, not to glorify ourselves but to Glorify the one that you sent, who came to Glorify You Father God.

God Bless you and keep you, remembering always Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
