We as people often focus too much on circumstances. What tomorrow will bring; what our loved ones are doing; and when we will return to what we perceived as normal. We worry needlessly about the things that the world is doing and what is going on in the world. We look at what we are given such as the clothing we have in our closets and dressers which is full and wants more. We look into our frigs and pantries seeing food but it is not what we want. We claim sickness and diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and other illnesses….. Finally, we focus on what satan is up to instead of what God has promised. Enough.
IF you are a true believer, I ask you, why? Should you be reminded of who you are and what God has done. It is the enemy’s job to keep you doubting God and not trusting Him. It is the enemy’s job to offer you spiritual and eternal death. It is your responsibility to refuse the offer.
The devil wants you on his side. He tempts you with money, wealth, position or status. Then when you yield to the temptation, he has got you. First you feel as though you are on top of the world and you have not a care in the WORLD (Although we are in the world, be not of the world). Because you feel you have made it (false perception), your heart goes dark, dirty, and cold. You now associate yourselves with like minded people. You find yourself doing worldly things, i.e. heavy drinking, smoking, and all manners of ungodly things. You stand before the congregation of people boasting about what you have, yet asking the old lady who struggles to pay her bills, for more, i.e. Pastor and church anniversary; quarterly conference assessments; and all the other things written in your discipline and bi-laws. You are up in the choir, playing instruments, and performing praise dances while you defile songs of worship knowing that your homosexual life style is an abomination before God. The devil has got you deceived.
But there is Hope the prophet Jeremiah confesses saying, the Word of the Lord came unto me, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.” He knew Adam whom He formed, He knew Eve Who He made, and we can extrapolate that He knows you. When satan caused man to fall into sin, yet God clothes them. God said I know the thoughts I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected (Good) end. In the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah, God tells Lot to take his wife and daughters and leave, but not to look back. Lot and his daughters did as instructed but his wife perished because she was not obedient and looked back. When God tells you to go forth, don’t look back at what you may have done in your past for you have been forgiven. Don’t look back as to what you think you are missing in this world, for it may cause you to perish. Know ye not that temptation is strong but God tempts no man, only the spirit of the devil. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. A prominent pastor confesses his homosexual desires once; a musical artist and producer confessed his pornography addiction but they overcame it. Are they greater than you, no, but God is.
So when the enemy thinks he has an advantage over you, declare in the name of Jesus that you are an overcomer. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Devil, you are a liar. You can destroy our cities, you can try to keep me from fellowship with the body of Christ, you can deceive the masses, but you can’t separate me from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When you close one door, God already had one open. When you bring sickness and diseases, By Jesus stripes, we are already healed. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I know God has already done it. You just have to believe that God has changed your story. You are precious in His sight. If you don’t know it, get it in your Spirit.
Lord thank you for who you are in my life. Thank you for what you have done that I may have eternal life. Thank You for Your Grace, Mercy, and Protection. Thank you Jesus for interceding on my behalf. I love You because you loved me First.
