Be Careful What You Accept In Your Spirit

Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for this day. Thank you for allowing me to lie down last night and to rise this morning clothe in the right mind and that is a mind of thanksgiving, a mind stayed on you. Thank you, Lord, for allowing every part of my body to function as you have designed it to be. Thank you for giving me one more day to worship, praise, and glorify you once again on earth as it is in Heaven. Thank you for Your son Jesus Christ my savior and the gift of the Holy Spirit which leads, guide, teach, and protects me. Thank you for your angels, our angels encamped around and about us to do those things which you have instructed them to do and the authority that you have given us to send them forth to do as we command them. Now let those who read this as placed in my spirit give thought, revelation, and adherence to it, in Jesus’ name. Amen

If I say to you, what day is October the 31st?, many would reply Halloween. According to history.com, The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (sow-in), when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. First let’s keep in mind that the word Hallow means to honor the holy, not to mark the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, which was November 1st, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred.

On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. So let’s stop here for a moment, all the above speaks of what man says. Well, I say what the Word of the Lord says in Psalm 118:24, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” So the word of God was established well before the 18th century, which tells us that the 31st was established as a holy day and not some ritual day of the dead.

We as saints have to be careful what we celebrate or who or what traditions we follow. We understand that the nonbeliever or even some Christians who may not have a revelation of this knowledge will follow these traditions but a Saint has to know better, for we are supposed to be informed but first of all Holy.

You see the trick of the enemy which is satan will take something that appears harmless and use it to glorify him. You may ask the question, how does this glorify him? Well most of us like candies and treats and to give them to little children to see smiles upon their faces. Most of us have dressed up in costumes before, I will be the first to admit it. Many loved to watch horror movies because we didn’t think they were real. The truth is the subliminal messaging of these movies carried a spiritual effect to them which is called transferring spirits. Now you may say that there are no such things as transferring spirits, then you may not have read in the Book of Mark chapter 5, as Jesus and his disciples came into the country of the Gadarenes, there was a man possessed with an unclean spirit which tormented the man day and night and no one could bind him. And when before Jesus, the unclean spirit cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. Jesus says unto him,  Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. This was an example of transferring spirits.

I was stationed in Germany and I was in a Pentecostal gospel service one morning, and there was a woman who was possessed with an unclean spirit. He did not want to come out of the woman and I can hear his voice today as clear as it was over 30 years ago declared to the congregation. “I am your god”. The minister told the congregation to read Scriptures and keep their mind on the Word and then commanded that the unclean spirit come out the woman. As he was resisting the woman started to pull at her hair and scream out and when the unclean spirit came out of her, he transferred to another woman and she did as the first woman before he was eventually cast out of the service. This was not some movie, this was reality, so yes spirit transfers.

So be careful what you allow into you by way of what you hear, speak, or see. The body is three-part, Spirit first, Body, then Soul (Conscience or mind). What you allow in your mind allows a spirit to enter into the body, so watching horror movies is a gateway through the eyes to the conscience or mind that will affect the body.

I don’t know about you but there are times that if we are not careful we will allow circumstances or events to activate something in us. If you drive you may know what I am talking about. While driving, someone in front of you is on their cell phone not paying attention to the traffic, it annoys you, and the first opportunity you get, you speed past them and may even give them the side-eye, you know what I am talking about. It activates an angry spirit in your conscience or mind. The Word of God says “Anger rest in the bosom of fools”, that was just a momentary reaction, imagine watching these horror movies all the time and what images and words are entering into you. If you keep hearing negativity and seeing the negativity, it eventually will cause your conscience to have a negative reaction.

So as the 31st approaches, remember it is the day that the Lord has made, so rejoice and be glad in it, for every day that the Lord has made is good and very good. Don’t allow anything or anyone to do or say otherwise. I can remember seeing parades in New Orleans and the bands marching and playing “When the saints go marching in”, images of death on display, and much drinking and all manners of evil being showcased. As Saints, we are to be separate in our actions from the world. As Christians, you are to act like Christ and be as He is. Did you know that Moses in the Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 33:2-3 first speaks of saints, long before Pope Gregory III And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.

The Man of God declared us Saint but it was the Gentiles who called us Christians in the Book of Acts 11:25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: 26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught many people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

So remember, you were Saints first, you are a royal priesthood as declared in 1 Peter 2 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; So we should not do as the world do. As with the Sabbath, each day should be holy for Jesus is holy and therefore we are holy. Do your good deeds, refrain from worldly acts and you shall be blessed. So be careful what you accept in your spirit. Let no man deceive you. Be led by the Spirit of God and not the words of man.

So Beloved we continue to keep you in our prayers and above all things that you prosper even as your soul prospers.
