What Are You Laboring For – Who are you laboring for

We give thanks to God Almighty and to his Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit our leader, our guide, our protector for whose ministry we now labor in.

                   As America celebrates Labor Day, I thought about the first celebrated Labor Day. It wasn’t in 1892 or 1894 established into law by President Cleveland as many supposed, but by the Word of God which tells us in Genesis chapter 2 verses 1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

In chapter 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. You see when man tries to create something that God has already done, most of the time it doesn’t turn out well. In the 1800s in Chicago, people died trying to establish what God had already done. God gave us 52 days a year and can only give you 1 day a year and sometime you don’t get that.

                  This brings me to my next thought, God labored to create the Heavens and the earth for us to have a place to reside whether in the natural or in the Spirit. We were created to Worship God. What are you laboring for? What is your labor better yet who are you laboring for? Many labor for self, others for family, some labor for man, and few labor for God. The Scripture says in Matthew 9:37-38 , The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. The Word of God commands us in Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled, meaning into the city and in the fields (the urban and the rural areas) and Deuteronomy 28 says Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field; Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. So remember as you labor, do it as to God and not man, the Scripture says, in Matthew 6 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Colossians 3:23-24 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

                  Brother and Sisters, know to whom you labor. Jesus says to his disciples go ye therefore and preach the Gospel (The Good News) which is we have an advocate in Him to the father and that through His sacrifice we have been set free. We must work while it’s day, in other words, work while there is the light of Christ in the world while you still have time, for when night comes or when death comes, no one can work. We must choose this day whom we will serve, man, God, or mammon. I know as for Ineda and our house, we will serve God. Continue to walk in God’s Favor and we wish above all things that you prosper and be in Good health even as and more importantly that your soul prospers.
